The PulyCaff Coffee Grease Remover is the organic alternative to conventional coffee grease removers. It removes coffee deposits and incrustations in portafilters and filters automatically, quickly and gently.

Cleaning the brew group of coffee grease using a blind sieve (also called backflushing) is important because the coffee grease becomes rancid over time and causes the brew group to stick together. You need a blind sieve which, due to its closed base, exerts a high counterpressure on the entire brewing system and rinses the system backwards due to the excess pressure thus built up.

The backflushing of the brewing system is a very important task.

Here are the working steps:

1) Clean the brew group including brew shower and gasketing ring with a suitable cleaning brush.

2) Fill one the coffee grease solvent into the dummy filter.

3) Pour a little hot water on the fat solvent in the dummy filter, it starts to foam, please wait briefly until the foaming is finished

4) Now clamp the portafilter firmly in the brew group.

5) Remove the cup tray of the residual water tray and press the reference switch or lever for approx. 5 seconds, then you will hear that the pump works noticeably quieter. This is the sign of maximum pressure build-up.

6) Now stop the operation. You will hear a hissing and gurgling sound as foam comes out of the bottom of the overflow of the brew group.

7) Repeat the process several times, the foam will change from initially white to brown, then back to white, and finally there will be no more foam.

8) Now wipe off the brewing shower, remove the dummy sieve from the portafilter and also clean this portafilter of coffee grease, as coffee grease also builds up under the sieve in the portafilter. Done.
