Because there is naturally only a small amount of coffee in the single filter, the quantity, grind and contact pressure have a particularly marked effect on the result. In contrast, a larger quantity of coffee forgives one or two inaccuracies. IMS has developed a filter with the shape and the special perforation that compensates for these small errors. The waisted single filter should not only be filled in the lower, narrower part, but higher. This means you don't need a special tamper, you can use your 58mm or 58.4mm tamper
