Mazzer ZM Black Espresso Grinder

The new warhorse from the traditional house of Mazzer is the new release in the high-end sector that sets new standards. The Mazzer ZM is a combination of classic design and unique technology that does not yet exist in this form.

At first glance, the Mazzer looks very elegant, with beautiful proportions and an exceptional feel. The highlight of this coffee grinder is the automatic, high-precision grind setting via an adjustment motor that shows the exact distance between the grinding discs in the display. It is not only the micrometric adjustment of the grinding discs that makes the ZM a precision miracle, but also the automatic alignment function. Here, the grinding discs are perfectly aligned with each other, which is only possible with comparable grinders using special tools. The more precisely the grinding discs are aligned, the better the particle distribution and the result in the cup. It is predestined for frequent bean changes or for brewing different results with the same bean. The grind levels can be called up and saved via the display and the four quick buttons, and up to 20 presets can be called up in the Mazzer ZM menu. This gem is controlled via a solid metal wheel on the right side of the grinder. To go through the menu, simply turn the wheel and press to confirm the entry.

The vertically arranged grinding discs allow for a remarkably small dead space of less than 0.45 grams. Since this design does not rely on centrifugal force to drive the beans out of the grinding discs, the ZM runs at only 900 revolutions per minute despite the disc grinder. This is particularly gentle on the aroma of the beans and ensures an excellent result in the cup, despite fast grinding thanks to the 83mm grinding discs and the powerful 900 watt motor.

Grinding takes place in a container that snaps into the grinder and ensures a very clean work surface. The grinding chamber is kept cool with two electronically controlled fans.
