With the new Smart HX® dual-circuit system - HX here stands for Heat Exchanger - the proven heat exchanger technology is once again rethought. Smart features offer additional comfort and allow you to concentrate on the essentials: The perfect espresso experience. With the help of an additional sensor in the brew group inlet, the thermosyphon is kept at a good temperature.

In HX mode the machine is operated like a regular dual boiler. The boiler temperature can be easily adjusted via the PID. 

The Flush Advisor (FLU)adds a recommendation for a flush to the HX mode if the machine has overheated due to a long standing time. It can also be activated and displayed via the PID and ensures that you can always brew your espresso at the ideal temperature.

Thanks to the intelligent control technology, it is possible in Brew Temperature Control mode (btC)to set the brewing temperature directly and thus ensure brewing temperature stability. This is done using a sensor attached to the head of the brew group that measures the temperature.

The Preinfusion (Pi)can also be precisely adjusted with the Mechanika MAX. In doing so, the active and passive preinfusion is set separately and allows for precise tuning to the individual taste.

The machine has a timer function that allows you to schedule the machine's operating times in advance. This function allows you to set when you want the machine to switch on or off automatically.
